In order to learn a second language, the aforementioned areas must be practiced on a daily basis. During class I will present the students with various opportunities to use and practice what they have learned on an individual, partner and group level. I plan on utilizing portions of the Komm mit! curriculum, as well as other resources and realia (e.g. music, music videos, excerpts from children's books), in order to accomplish this goal. I also expect the students to be practicing what they have learned in class for at least 20-30 minutes at home in order to reinforce what has been taught. In addition to regular homework assignments, I recommend that all students make use of a binder, divided into five sections (nouns, verbs, verb conjugation tables, handouts and homework).
